Riding with Awareness: AnIntroduction to Connected Riding & the Tellington TTouch

Location: Vernon, BC (The Icelandic Horse Farm) Teacher: Mandy Pretty, Connected Riding Assistant Instructor & Tellington TTouch Instructor

Learn how to become more harmonious with your horse while in the saddle. Un-mounted Rider Awareness exercises, pre-riding bodywork techniques and gymnasticizing groundwork exercises lead to mindful riding lessons make this clinic a fun filled learning experience. Help yourself and your horse let go of bracing patterns and release tension by finding a more functional "neutral" way of being. Use one of the farm's many trustworthy horses or bring your own. Limited to 6 riders. Price: $500 plus 5% GST Lunch included.

Riding with Tellington TTouch & Connected Riding

Location: Vernon, BC (The Icelandic Horse Farm) Teacher: Robyn Hood, Senior Tellington TTouch Method InstructorRobyn Hood uses TTouch tail work before a ride Co-teacher: Mandy Pretty, Connected Riding Practitioner & Tellington TTouch Instructor Improve performance, well-being, and behavior while enhancing the relationship with your horse on the ground and in the saddle. This intensive hands-on course provides Tellington TTouch Method tools of observation, bodywork, groundwork, and riding that will help you understand and communicate with every horse you work with. This course includes Connected Riding sessions that are complementary to the Tellington TTouch work on the ground. Use one of the farm's horses or bring your own. See what beginners and Olympic riders alike have discovered about the power of TTouch! Counts towards Tellington TTouch Practitioner status. Limited to 10 riders. Tellington TTouch Method for Horses: Starting Youngsters & Re-Educating Trained Horses

Location: Vernon, BC (The Icelandic Horse Farm) Teacher: Robyn Hood, Senior Tellington TTouch Method Instructor Co-teacher: Mandy Pretty, Connected Riding Practitioner & Tellington TTouch Instructor Learn the easy, effective, respectful and safe way to start or re-educate a horse. Using one of the farm's un-started youngsters and/or your own horse, you will work in a group guiding several horses through the steps to becoming a riding horse. The foundations of the Tellington TTouch Method are put into practice as you use the TTouch Bodywork to help build trust and release tension, TTouch Ground Exercises, including ground driving, to improve balance, coordination, and responsiveness as well, the Playground of Higher Learning helps teach horses how to act rather than react. These steps prepare the horses for their first time under saddle or provides a previously started horse with a new, positive outlook on working with people. Counts towards Tellington TTouch Practitioner status. Price: $800 plus 5% GST Lunch included.

Tellington TTouch for Companion Animals

Location: Vernon, BC (The Icelandic Horse Farm) Teacher: Robyn Hood, Senior Tellington TTouch Method Instructor  

This course serves as an introduction to TTouch with dogs, cats and other companion animals or as a component of the ongoing Practitioner training, in a layered learning format. Professionals and casual dog lovers alike will benefit from the amount of knowledge and variety of practical techniques taught this class! The most common issues confronting professionals, trainers and dog owners will be addressed as you learn and build on the fundamentals of Tellington TTouch Bodywork, Groundwork, and Observation. This is an ideal method to help enhance positive dog training modalities. Bring your own dog or work with a visiting canine. Counts towards CEU’s. Part of the ongoing TTouch Practitioner Training, suitable for new and returning students. Offered as a 3 or 5 day program. Price for 3-Day: $450 plus 5% GST, Price for 5-Day: $800 plus 5% GST for your first training; $900 plus 5% GST for continuing Practitioner Trainings (includes ongoing Mentoring) Lunch included.
