May 15-28: Combined Connected Riding® & TTEAM® Clinic Connected Riding with Peggy Cummings (www.connectedriding.com) and TEAM with Robyn Hood. This is a unique opportunity to learn these complimentary methods. The clinic may be counted towards practitioner status Peggy Cummings, the developer of Connected Riding® will lead participants as they experience her ground and mounted exercises. From years of classical training and research of various riding styles,
Peggy Cummings has developed Connected Riding® methods to achieve freedom of movement and self-carriage for both horse and rider. Her technique is based on reciprocal connection rather than force; it enhances performance through better communication. Connected Riding® teaches you to ride from the inside (by feeling), to the outside (by action). It provides you with an awareness of body and movement that empowers you to move in harmony with the horse. It teaches you how to influence the horse's movement through an elastic connection, allowing you to let go of compressive, energy-draining techniques. Through a series of ground and mounted exercises, it shows you how to use the rhythm of your own body to lead your horse to enhanced performance. Robyn Hood will be teaching the finer points of TTEAM. The groups will divided so that while some people are riding others will be learning the TTouch and Leading Exercises. Small teaching groups will allow people to work at their own level. This two-week clinic will be in 4-day segments with a day off between each segment. May 19 and 24 will be rest days. Participants can practice, sight see or just rest on these days. There are many tourist possibilities in the area from winery visits to white water rafting. Price including Tuition, Lunches & Lease of horse or board: (Accommodation NOT included) Accommodation NOT included. We have various options for accommodation - either motels in Vernon, B&B; self-catering in a nearby house (belonging to Barbara Owens) which can accommodate up to 8 people.
